Fingerprints #1: Gifted Touch

0064472655.jpg

Sometimes, when I touch things, words fill my head. Words that feel like thoughts--thoughts that are inside of me...but not mine.

I used to think I was crazy. Used to.

I'm starting to wonder if there's a reason for all the voices that tangle together in my mind. And if I'm right, then it's not my sanity I'm worried about--it's my life.

Angelfacedprincess: Gifted Touch was an excellent beginning to the series. When Rae starts experiencing her powers, it scares her and she ends up having a breakdown in front of the whole cafeteria; landing her in the mental hospital for the summer. But after meeting Anthony, and living through a near-death incident, she realizes that its not her sanity that's at stake.

Fingerprints #2: Haunted

This power that I have this ability to reach inside people's minds and know their thoughts...

Anthony says it's a gift.

But ever since this gift started, my life has been in danger.

And now someone I care about is in trouble because of me.

I have to help him if I can find him.

Where is he?

Angelfacedprincess: Jesse disappears with a note left behind, everyone assumes that he ran away. But, Anthony and Rae suspect something different. They suspect that he's been kidnapped by the very same person that is after Rae. The very same person who hired a member of the group to kill Rae, the very same person who wants Rae dead and is capable of murder. Will Rae and Anthony get to him in time?

Spoiler(for those who haven't read the book) Select the Text: Using Rae's powers, Rae and Anthony visit Jesse's mother. Jesse's mother suspects kidnap by his father. Problem: Jesse's father lives in New Orleans, a many-hour car trip away. To convince Rae's dad to let her go, Yana tells a false story, and comes along for the ride. This leads them to a dead end. By talking to people, and touching Jesse's stuff, they finally manage to get a new lead, and rescue Jesse in time. But the question still prevails: Who Dun It?

Fingerprints #3: Trust Me

It was Anthony who helped me understand what I can do-who showed me that I wasn't crazy.

I was only trying to thank him, to help him find what he's been searching for his entire life. But he thinks I've betrayed him.

He doesn't understand that the answers I found aren't what either one of us expected-and the truth could hurt me as much as it hurts him.

Angelfacedprincess: Rae decides to find a  way to thank Anthony for all he's done by finding his father for him. In the process of finding Anthony's father, Rae picks up a new lead on the truth about her mother. But the truth turns out to be something, both of them would rather have been left alone.

Spoilers(select to view): Rae finds Anthony's father in prison, and while she's there, she picks up thoughts about her mother. When Anthony finds out, he gets upset and angry at Rae for trying to find his father. After finding out that his father was a murderer, he starts to think that he too will probably end up like his father and joins in on a robbery. At the same time, Rae finds out that her mother was not only a murderer, but she murdered her best friend, Erica Keaton. Jesse shows up at Rae's doorstep to get Anthony out of trouble, will she get there in time, or will Anthony follow in his father's footsteps?

Fingerprints #4: Secrets

When everyone I trusted turned away, Anthony was there. He was the only one who cared, and he's the reason I'm still alive.

But now Anthony has more important things to do than watch my back.

So it's just me and Yana, and whoever's out there watching, waiting for the chance.
